India–UK Alumni Network on ABS website offers three kinds of memberships:

1. Association of British Scholars (ABS) Chapter membership
2. UK Alumni Membership
3. UK Associate Membership
    

The Association of British Scholars (ABS) India is a national forum to facilitate the networking of Indians who have studied or trained in the UK with an aim to strengthen the Indo-UK relationship

ABS India's primary objective is to act as a catalyst for encouraging member chapters to pool their resources, expertise, potential and work in partnership to strengthen the Indo-UK relationship. It encourages professional networking, sharing of information as well as the organisation of social, cultural, professional and educational events.

ABS India was set up to enable the growth and development of member chapters under an all-India umbrella. It is strictly a non-profit organisation.

Both the British Council and the British High Commission in India support this Federation.

Chapter Membership – eligibility criteria:

Indians who have studied or trained in the UK for not less than three months or who have visited the UK for education or training for not less than a week under British Council auspices are eligible to become chapter members.

Currently there are 25 ABS Regional Chapters all over India.

UK Alumni membership

Indians who have studied in UK but due to any professional reasons, can not take up membership of any specific ABS Chapter, can still register as UK Alumni member on the website (free of cost).

You can still enjoy the privileges of networking and sharing information with Indian Scholars in the UK and Alumni back in India or anywhere across the globe. As an alumni you will have access to members’ area of the website and can avail following benefits free of cost.

UK Associate Membership

Indians who are studying in UK or have secured offer and are about to join a UK institution can become an Associate Member of India-UK Alumni Network (free of cost).

As an Associate Member you can enjoy the privileges of networking and sharing information with Indian Scholars in the UK and Alumni back in India. As an Associate member, you have access to the members’ area of the website and can avail following benefits free of cost.

This membership is valid till the duration of your course/stay in the UK. Upon expiry of this membership you may either renew this membership, if your course is extended or you have taken up another course in UK; Or you may choose to become either ABS Chapter member or UK Alumni member as appropriate.
